The Four Friends and the Resurrected Lion

In a quaint village, four friends traversed through life together, each possessing unique qualities. While three of them boasted profound knowledge of scriptures, the fourth friend, although lacking in scholarly wisdom, possessed unparalleled insight.

One fateful day, their discussions turned toward ambition, with dreams of impressing the esteemed king of their state and reaping wealth and rewards for their scholarly prowess. Eager to fulfill their aspirations, they embarked on a journey to the royal court.

As they traversed a dense forest along their path, they stumbled upon a mysterious sight—a pile of bones scattered in disarray. Seizing the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, the first friend reconstructed the skeletal remains into the form of an animal with remarkable precision.

Inspired by his accomplishment, the second friend proceeded to adorn the skeletal frame with the semblance of flesh and blood, breathing life-like appearance into the creature.

Buoyed by their success, the third friend eagerly sought to demonstrate his own abilities by invoking the powers of ancient mantras to animate the lifeless creation. However, the fourth friend, driven by intuition and foresight, voiced his concerns, warning of potential disaster should the lion come to life.

Undeterred by his friend's cautionary words, the three scholars persisted in their endeavor, dismissing the fourth friend's apprehensions. Ignoring his plea, they pressed forward with their ritual, oblivious to the impending danger.

As the final incantation echoed through the forest, the once-inanimate lion suddenly sprang to life, its eyes ablaze with fierce vitality. With a ferocious roar, it lunged at the unsuspecting trio, swiftly dispatching them before they could comprehend the gravity of their folly.

Alone and safe atop the highest branch of a nearby tree, the fourth friend watched in solemn silence, spared from the tragic fate that befell his companions. In the aftermath of the calamity, he reflected upon the profound lesson learned—that wisdom, tempered with humility and foresight, reigns supreme over mere knowledge, safeguarding against the perils of reckless ambition and unchecked desires.
